Reishi Nishiwaki 西脇 怜史

President / Attorney at Law, Patent Attorney

Reishi NISHIWAKI brings together a technical background in telecommunications and professional qualifications as both an attorney-at-law and a patent attorney.  This integrated expertise enables him to approach intellectual property matters with both technical insight and legal precision, providing strong support across a wide range of IP issues.

He has devoted his career to intellectual property since his registration, handling patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights, and unfair competition.  His practice is grounded in a balanced technical–legal perspective that allows him to address complex matters effectively. He also closely monitors developments in generative AI and emerging technologies, recognizing the significant impact they may have on the intellectual property landscape.

Since assuming the role of President, Reishi has focused on strengthening the firm’s management and ensuring that each client receives tailored, precise, and timely IP support. He is also active internationally, frequently traveling overseas to build and maintain professional networks, enabling him to provide advice informed by global IP developments.

Reishi is actively engaged in the intellectual property community through committee work, policy involvement, and a broad range of professional engagements.  His experience includes holding key leadership positions in major IP organizations, and he maintains a strong presence both domestically and internationally.
In addition, he contributes to publications and is regularly invited to speak at seminars and academic forums on advanced IP topics.

Outside of work, he enjoys golf, but in recent years he has prioritized family time and enjoys traveling with his family
